Founded in Bordeaux in 2012, Yescapa connects travellers with private owners: each van has its own character and its own kit (real crockery, bikes, baby gear on some listings), and an owner who briefs you before departure and stays reachable during the trip. Geographic coverage: southern Europe versus a sprawling network
Yescapa remains especially strong in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy — the brand grew up there, and its owner catalogue stays the deepest on the continent in those countries. Indie Campers, meanwhile, claims the largest owned-fleet network in Europe: born on the Iberian Peninsula, where its density is still unmatched, it has expanded its depots across most major European countries as well as the United States and Canada. Indie Campers' real edge: one-way rentals

Prices, fees and deposits: two different mechanics
On Yescapa, the price, the deposit (commonly €1,000–2,500) and the included mileage are all set listing by listing, owner by owner; insurance and roadside assistance are included during the rental through the platform's insurance partners. The vehicle catalogue
Both platforms span the full range, from mini-campers to A-class motorhomes. On Yescapa, every listing has its own kit and condition, often lovingly maintained by enthusiast owners.
