About Van-Comparator
Van-Comparator is an independent meta-search engine for campervan and motorhome rentals: a single search queries the major platforms and ranks the offers by real total price. The service is free, requires no sign-up, and never charges the traveller a commission.
Who is behind it
Van-Comparator is designed and operated by Tech-Bharat, an engineering agency specialised in applied AI systems, founded by Clément Lacaille. The comparator is built in-house, hosted in Europe and the United States (Vercel), and maintained daily — the code, the connectors and the price data are our own work.
How the aggregation works
When you search, Van-Comparator queries the platforms in parallel using the public data of their pages (structured data, server-rendered listings). Results are cached for a few minutes out of politeness towards the platforms, and our collector identifies itself clearly (dedicated User-Agent with a contact e-mail). Three non-negotiable rules:
- Never simulated data. A platform without real access shows as “partnership required” — it never appears with fake results.
- The displayed price is the published price. “From” prices are flagged as such and confirmed on the original platform.
- Booking stays with the operator. Payment, insurance and assistance belong to the platform you choose, under its guarantees.
Every night, an automated collector also records the prices actually displayed across a rotating sample of destinations: these aggregates feed our public statistics and the medians shown on the city pages.

Van-Comparator is not affiliated with any of the platforms mentioned; all trademarks belong to their owners. Connector status evolves as agreements land: this page reflects today's technical reality, not a promise.
The business model
The service is free and will stay free for travellers. In time, Van-Comparator will be paid by partner platforms for the business it brings them — the flight-comparison model. No platform can buy its ranking: results stay ordered by real total price.
