Louer moins cher, preuves à l’appui

Frequently asked questions

Are the prices shown the real prices?

Yes — they come live from the platforms. Some publish a firm price for your dates, others “from” prices, which we flag with the note “to be confirmed on the platform”.

Does Van-Comparator take a commission?

Never from the traveller. The service is free; in time, Van-Comparator will be paid by partner platforms for the business it brings them, just like flight comparison sites.

How do I book?

Click “Book on…”: you complete the booking directly on the platform offering the vehicle, with its guarantees, its insurance and its roadside assistance.

Which driving licence do I need?

A standard car licence covers most motorhomes and campervans in Europe: nearly all rental vehicles weigh under 3.5 t. In the United States and Canada, your regular licence works too — European drivers should add an International Driving Permit (IDP).

Are pets allowed?

Many owners welcome dogs and cats: use the “Pets allowed” filter to see only those vehicles. Cleaning fees may apply depending on the platform.
