The N125 serves the whole Algarve coast from Olhão to Sagres, doubled by the A22 when time is short. The mythical N2, which crosses Portugal from Chaves, ends its roughly seven hundred kilometres here — driving it up into the Serra do Caldeirão is a journey in itself. Westwards, the N268 climbs from Sagres along the Costa Vicentina.
