Here is the full calculation, item by item, with two realistic scenarios. The rental: the main item
Expect €45 to €90 per day for a mini-camper and €75 to €150 for a pop-top campervan, depending on the season. From Friday evening to Sunday evening, most companies charge 2 to 3 days. Fuel: €40 to €70
A campervan burns 8 to 10 L/100 km. For a 400 km loop, budget €55 to €75 of diesel; a more frugal mini-camper (6-7 L/100 km) gets away with €40-50. Staying under 400 km is also the guarantee of a restful weekend — a campervan is best enjoyed parked.
The nights: €0 to €40
A night at a motorhome stopover costs €0 to €15, a simple campsite €15 to €25 off season. The classic weekend combo: one free night at a lakeside stopover, one campsite night for the shower and the battery recharge.
