Campervan rental in Las Vegas
Las Vegas (Nevada) is one of the great RV rental bases of the United States, where vehicles run bigger than in Europe and one-way trips are common. Van-Comparator compares the platforms in a single search and ranks the offers by real price.
The campervan — VW California, Mercedes Marco Polo, Ford Transit Nugget — is the ultimate freedom format in Las Vegas: it drives like a large car, parks in town, yet hides a bed, a kitchenette and often a pop-top roof. It is the most contested segment of the market, split between private owners and professional fleets — the one where comparing platforms pays most.
Expect €75–150 per day depending on season, model and included mileage. All these vans stay under 3.5 t: a standard car licence is enough across Europe (in the US and Canada, your regular licence works — an International Driving Permit is recommended for European visitors). Check each offer's deposit, excess and mileage cap — the three items that vary most between platforms.
By campervan out of Las Vegas: routes and stopovers
Las Vegas may be the best van base camp in the American West. Red Rock Canyon and its 13-mile scenic drive are thirty minutes from the Strip; the Valley of Fire and its flame-red rocks an hour; Lake Mead forty minutes. Two hours puts you in Death Valley, the lowest and hottest place in North America, and two and a half in Zion, the first of Utah's big parks — the Grand Canyon's South Rim, by contrast, demands a full day of driving.
In the city itself, no sleeping in the van on the street, and every casino sets its own parking policy: the safe bets are campgrounds and, all around, the vast tracts of BLM land where dispersed camping is free (fourteen nights maximum). Book Zion's campgrounds early on recreation.gov, and note that Red Rock requires a timed reservation from October to May. The seasonal golden rule: from June to September, cross Death Valley and the desert at dawn, with the air-con working, plenty of water and a full tank.
When to go from Las Vegas
